color palette: big boy room renovation

We pulled the color palette for A's Big Boy Room from a few of his favorite things: his "cool" jacket (from H&M), chalkboards, and the surfboard in his room.

color palette: darling ajax

Our darling kitten, Ajax, was the inspiration behind the latest color palette. He's the cutest color--sort of a pink buff, like the inside of a shell.

the flavors of summer

Some of my favorite flavors of the summer include fraises du bois, apricot, fresh corn, and sweet mint (juleps, mojitos, tea...). And this long stripe graphic reminds me of those absurdly good frozen ice sticks that come in a clear plastic tube. Are those still around? What's your favorite summertime flavor?

color palette: perfect poppies

I snapped this shot with my iPhone last weekend outside the local Rancho Santa Fe library. The local Garden Club does a truly spectacular job of keeping the village full of beautiful flowers. I especially love these melon colored poppies.

I've been loving these sweet, soft & milky colors lately and am adding them to the next delphine stationery collection. They totally remind me of my grandmother, Bea. She used to wear cantaloupe or aquamarine every day in the spring and summer (and dark orange or brown in the winter). I remember she had a pair of stretchy polyester shorts in aquamarine that she wore all summer long.
